Introduction
This third edition of the Inclusive Practice Guide has been developed in alignment with the NAPA Standards of Practice for Activity Providers, the NAPA Code of Ethics and the Enhanced Quality Indicators for Care Homes. The resource explores the foundations of meaningful activity provision and highlights the importance of inclusive, person-centred approaches that support wellbeing, dignity, identity and quality of life.
The guide encourages reflective practice and supports activity providers, care teams and organisations to create emotionally safe, inclusive and engaging environments where individuals feel valued, connected and respected. It recognises that meaningful engagement looks different for everyone and explores how activities, relationships, sensory experiences, creativity, faith, nature, music and companionship can all contribute to wellbeing and belonging.
