FOREWORD

"Throughout 2025–2026, NAPA has continued to strengthen its position as the UK's professional association for Activity Providers, championing meaningful activity, engagement and wellbeing as fundamental components of outstanding care."

Since NAPA was founded in 1997, our purpose has remained constant: to champion meaningful activity, engagement and wellbeing for people receiving care. Nearly thirty years on, that mission feels more urgent than ever.
A personal highlight for me was the launch of the The Year of Musical Expression, Music Standards of Practice development, university partnerships, NAPP Week, National Conference (250+ delegates), and National Activity Awards (17 categories, Liverpool)

IN THEIR WORDS

What members say about the year.

"

Music became part of everyday life rather than something we scheduled once a week. We saw people singing, reminiscing, laughing together and reconnecting with family members in ways we hadn’t expected.

Member Reflection

"

NAPA continues to raise standards across the sector. The conference combines evidence, innovation and practical learning in a way that inspires real change.

Conference Delegate

"

The Activity Shed is my first stop when I’m planning activities. It doesn’t just give me ideas, it helps me think differently about meaningful engagement and adapt activities around the people I support.
